Throughout the academic year, Grymes hosts several special events run by staff and an incredibly dedicated team of volunteers to bring our community together while raising funds and awareness for a range of programs and activities.

In light of the pandemic, some of our events will be altered or cancelled. We will update you as we make these decisions.

SAVE THE DATE! Friday, October 2nd, 2020.
Join us for the 13th Annual “Swing for the School” Grymes Golf Tournament: a day of fun supporting the The Fund for Grymes! Details are still being finalized. Contact India Hill for questions.

Sadly this year we can only welcome the Class of 2020 back safely to campus. While we love seeing all of our alumni, we want everyone to stay healthy! Stay tuned for some virtual opportunities. Email India Hill with questions: [email protected]

Catch up with classmates and friends, reconnect with teachers and join our alumni panel to answer questions from our eighth graders as they prepare for life after Grymes.  Pizza and refreshments are served!

See you next year and happy holidays!

The Grymes Board of Trustees hosts an annual Christmas Party for the Grymes community to “jingle and mingle” and usher in the holiday season. Under the soft glow of lights, festive holiday decorations set the mood for holiday fun, while this year Board members served as bar tenders – with tip jars for Annual Fund donation.

A highlight of the school year showcasing the unique talents and abilities of so many of our Grymes students of all ages, the Variety Show is quite a production run by Grymes alumna, India Hill.
Each Spring, we invite the grandparents and grandfriends of Grymes students to campus for a fun and inspiring morning event. Grandparents and friends are invited to visit their student’s classrooms, meet their teachers and friends and explore the hallways for student artwork and a photo portrait to enjoy as a memento for the day. Following time in the classroom, students, teachers, grandparents and grandfriends head to the May Pole for the traditional May Pole Dance performed by 7th and 8th grade girls. Then it’s off to the gym where students in all classes are proud to show off their musical talents, entertaining grandparents and grandfriends with songs and performances that highlight some of the things they’ve been working on in music class throughout the year.
May 28th, 2020 8:30am – One of our longest standing traditions, field day is an active day of healthy competition between the Red team and the White team.
Awards Day – 8:30am/ Graduation  – 5:00pm
