Open Position: Reading Specialist for 2021-2022

Grymes Memorial School seeks to hire a reading specialist for 2021-2022. This person provides reading support for Lower School students (kindergarten-4th grade) who need extra assistance. Using a structured literacy approach, he/she works with students one-on-one and in small groups to strengthen their reading skills. This is a part-time position. Bachelor’s degree required; certification in Elementary Education, at least three years of classroom experience, and familiarity with Orton-Gillingham or another structured literacy approach to early reading instruction preferred. Open Position: Upper Elementary Teaching Position for 2021-2022

Grymes Memorial School seeks to hire a teacher to fill an upper elementary position for 2021-2022. In addition to serving as the homeroom teacher, he/she will be responsible for teaching language arts, literature, math, and history. Bachelor’s degree required; certification and at least three years of experience in the classroom preferred.
