Situated on forty-two beautiful acres overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains in historic Orange, Virginia, Grymes Memorial School is a private, coeducational day-school offering programs in junior kindergarten through eighth grade.
Hands-On Active Learning Environment
Our innovative curriculum emphasizes learning by doing at all grade levels. Through active learning, students engage with material meaningfully and find confidence in their achievements.
Small Class Sizes
With an average class size of 15 and a student to staff ratio of 6 to 1, students are given the individualized attention they need to meet challenges with encouragement and support.
Emphasis on the Arts
Music and visual arts classes foster confidence in self-expression, while class plays and declamations throughout the year allow children to develop important public speaking skills.
Character-Driven Community
Our core values of respect, responsibility, kindness, and honor (or honesty) set the stage for a warm and loving school family.
