Tracey Stakem has a B.S. in Music Education from Frostburg State and a Masters of Music in Instrumental Conducting from the University of Southwest Louisiana. While at Frostburg and USL, she performed in the marching band, wind ensemble, jazz band, and choir. She is well known in the Orange community as the “queen” of Kindermusik at the Orange School of Performing Arts. For seven years prior she was the band director at Orange County High School.
Tracey lives at Woodberry Forest School with her husband, Tim, who is the Director of Instrumental Music, and their children, Brenden and Aidan who are both Grymes students. In her spare time, Tracey enjoys being involved in Cub Scouts with Brenden. You can also find her in “the pit” for many of Woodberry’s musicals.
Tracey brings to Grymes an incredible array of skills to maintain and enhance the music and band program. She is looking forward to building the program and bringing her life-long love of music to the Grymes community.
