Lisa Warner

First Grade

Lisa graduated from Franklin and Marshall College in 1986 with a Bachelors degree in Math. Lisa had a successful career in the insurance business as an expense analyst and later in product development. She and her husband, David, moved to Spotsylvania from Connecticut in 1998. At that time Lisa was able to stay at home full-time with her children, Tucker and Avery. She turned her attention to volunteering in her children’s schools in several different capacities. In her search for the right school for her children, Lisa chose Grymes for its “warmth and for the fact that every child’s creativity is fostered not stifled.” Lisa became an active member of the Grymes Parent Teacher Association and frequently substituted in various classrooms.

Recently, Lisa attended the Reading First Academy for first grade as well as the Mel Levine, Schools Attuned workshop. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree/licensure in elementary education.  Lisa enjoys reading, gardening, walking and spending time with her family.
