Welcome

Dear Friend,

I am thrilled that you are interested in admission to Grymes Memorial School. Perhaps the finest recommendations for Grymes come from our own students, who are grateful for the safe, wholesome environment in which to learn, and the respect that is extended to everyone here. Our students develop a passion for learning and exploring many subjects. Grymes offers Spanish, creative writing, drama and public speaking, computer classes, art and music, and interscholastic sports for middle school students. The students consistently meet the challenges and expectations of our academic program and beyond. Many of our students choose independent schools for their secondary education. Grymes graduates are well prepared for the most rigorous secondary schools as well as the local public high schools.

The first step in the admissions process is to schedule a visit to tour the school. Prospective families should then submit an application with current transcripts, recommendations, and application fee then schedule a classroom visit, interview, and assessment. The most important consideration for admission to Grymes is the student’s ability to enjoy personal and academic success in our environment. A formal contract will be offered to students upon recommendation by the Admissions Committee and space availability.

Thank you for your interest in Grymes Memorial School. I hope to have the opportunity to meet you personally to answer your questions and introduce you to our fine school.

With warmest regards,

Lee Berry
