Enrollment

168 girls and boys in junior kindergarten through eighth grade from Orange, Madison, Culpeper, Louisa, Greene, Spotsylvania Counties, and the City of Fredericksburg.

Ratio

The Student/Teacher ratio is 7 to 1. (Based on total enrollment and total number of faculty.)  Addressing each student as an individual is a fundamental precept of the GMS program.

Faculty

Thirty-six faculty members and administrators; 38% hold advanced degrees.

Transportation

Transportation for six (Orange, Madison, Spotsylvania, Greene, Louisa, and Culpeper) counties is provided from central locations at no additional charge.

Financial Aid

Financial aid is available to all students in kindergarten through grade eight. One-third of our families receive need-based financial aid.

Foreign Language

Spanish is taught to all grades, junior kindergarten through sixth. Seventh and eighth graders may choose between conversational or academic tracks to earn high school credit.  

Technology

Computers are provided in each classroom. The computer lab is equipped with 14 units. Beginning in kindergarten, students go to the computer lab for instruction. Supervised access to the Internet is available on the school network. Three portable labs are equipped with 10 laptops each and digital overhead projectors are in all classrooms. Many classrooms have SMART Boards.

Physical Education

Grades junior kindergarten through six receive instruction in P.E. daily.  Seventh and eighth graders have P.E. four times a week.
