About Grymes

Situated on forty-two beautiful acres overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains in historic Orange, Virginia, Grymes Memorial School is a private, coeducational day-school offering programs in junior kindergarten through eighth grade.

Hands-On Active Learning Environment

With an average class size of 14 and a student to staff ratio of 7 to 1, students are given the individualized attention they need to meet challenges with encouragement and support when needed.

Spanish Instruction for All Grade Levels

With Spanish instruction as early as Pre-Kindergarten, Grymes students are introduced to Spanish vocabulary, grammar, geography and culture from an early age. By graduation, Grymes students have completed a full year of high school level Spanish and often place into second year Spanish at the secondary level.

Integrated Technology for 21st Century Learning

Smartboards, laptop carts, technology lab and a 1:1 student:device ratio in the Upper School are incredible teaching tools that help us to prepare our students to succeed at the secondary level – and beyond – in a digital world.

A submission includes the completed online application, a Teacher Recommendation and a Transcript from your child’s current school.
